Stephen Raebel

Steve Raebel became President of Fieldwork in 2011. Prior to that Steve functioned as the CFO of Fieldwork. He was the VP of Finance of C&R Research for 20 years. He has been very involved in both the Qualitative and Quantitative sides of Market Research in these roles.

Steve is involved in all aspects of Fieldwork, concentrating mostly on the financial and legal fronts. Due to the hands on approach the management of Fieldwork has, Steve also gets very involved in technology, personnel and operations. Steve has been the guiding hand in the expansion of Fieldwork over the years. He has been a regular for years at AMA and ARF.

Growing up with a father in the military, Steve has lived in many places from DC to Hawaii, but when he goes back “home” it is Redfield, SD. He received his degree in Business Administration majoring in Management and his Masters in Accounting from the University of South Dakota before he started his career in St. Paul in Public Accounting; concentrating in Tax. In 1985 Steve moved to Chicago to create C&R Research’s Accounting and Finance Department and since then has embraced Chicago as his home.

Though Steve resides in the far suburbs where he and his wife Dianne raised their three children, he thoroughly enjoys the restaurant scene in the city. His challenge is to recreate his favorite dishes for Sundays with the family around the football games. He is an avid boater, tail-gater, a regular crossword puzzler, and golfer when he can find the time. He also enjoys supporting Dianne’s love for animals, resulting in breeding bulldogs and raising horses? Go purple!
