Simone Mariscal

Simone has been a Project Manager at Fieldwork since September 2024. Before this role, she worked as a Senior Graphic Designer, where she developed her skills in management, client and internal relations, organization, communication, and collaboration—expertise that has supported her career at Fieldwork. Simone graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2021 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. A lifelong artist, she grew up as a classically trained violinist, performing in orchestras across Chicago, and took classes in film and photography. Her current hobbies include baking, reading, following pop culture, and tackling home DIY projects. Simone is dedicated to delivering creative solutions and believes strongly in the power of communication, organization, and teamwork.

What is a great question to warm up the focus group?

If you could have dinner with two celebrities, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?” This question works well because it opens up the floor to a wide range of responses, sparking fun and lively conversations across the group. It also gives participants, especially those who may feel nervous, a relaxed way to ease into the discussion and get comfortable from the start.

What’s your favorite backroom snack?

My favorite backroom snack is definitely a mini bag of Lesser Evil’s Himalayan Gold Popcorn. It tastes exactly like movie theater popcorn but with way fewer ingredients—I don’t know how they do it!
