Field Coordinator, Network
Isyemille has been an employee of Fieldwork Network since 2007, with a break from 2009-2011. Her role there includes a variety of responsibilities; being first employed as an office manager, she evolved quickly into the role of project management. She presently works semi-remotely as part of the Network’s project support team, as Field Coordinator.
Isyemille has lived in Chicago since 2003. She graduated in May of 2020 from Northeastern Illinois University with a Master’s degree in Linguistics, concentrating in psycholinguistics and bilingualism. Isyemille also volunteers with the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, as a child advocate. During her break from the Network, she lived in Mexico and worked as an ESL teacher for both primary school and college-level students.
Apart from her responsibilities with Fieldwork and volunteering, Isyemille is raising her son, sings in a doo-wop/ folk bilingual band, and has independently published her first book of poetry.
