Nelly Valentin

Nelly is a highly skilled and accomplished Senior Project Manager with a passion for driving successful outcomes. She possesses over 30 years of market research experience during which she developed a deep understanding of various research methodologies and consistently delivers outstanding results.

Nelly joined Fieldwork’s Network International team in 2016 after many years as a Field Director for ORC International/Guideline Research and Simmons Market Research. While in these roles, she developed partnerships with a vast network of industry professionals.

Nelly graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, with a concentration in Advertising and Psychology.

She was born and raised in New York City and currently lives in Northern New Jersey with her dog, Charlie, which keeps her busy and entertained during her free time.

What’s your favorite qualitative research methodology?
My favorite parts of managing qualitative international market research are the several unique aspects and challenges it brings when compared to domestic market research. Face to face interviews is often favored more than another qualitative research. We leverage local contact who are familiar with the culture. Through our local contact we become the experts which give us the opportunity to share valuable insights, explain cultural norms and help bridge any language barriers with the researchers.

What’s your favorite part of virtual experience?
My favorite part of virtual interviews is the convenience and availability technological features. Virtual interviews allow us to view live sessions when researchers flag issues with participants/technology if needed. Virtual interviews often provide features that enhances the interviews (such as – screensharing, document sharing, chat function, etc.).
